Ashley Cloud is one of Altman + Barrett’s in-house Interior Designers, part of a compressive design team whose goal is to provide the best possible experience for our clients. Ashley has taught classes (Intro to Interiors), hosted events (ADAC, West Elm), been a guest lecturer (The Political Power of Interiors), and a guest critic (Pratt, Parsons). She has received several awards and recognitions, including winning the Yabu Pushelburg Scholarship, placing as a finalist in the yearly DIFFA design competition, and for outstanding research in her MFA Thesis project. As a designer, her diverse background in commercial, residential, and non-profit design over the last 6+ years has taught Ashley how to adapt to a myriad of situations, budgets, and requirements. Her passion for history, preservation, and people have always been part of the drive behind her work.

Ashley values the importance of community engagement, and strives to create opportunities for discussion and interaction during each project. 

Her MFA thesis work, Sub Urban: Tools for Equitable Adaptation Through Participatory Design, utilized her role as both a designer and community member to explore methods for improving agency and representation in local suburban renewal efforts.

She is Currently working towards achieving her NCIDQ Certification, and hopes to accomplish leed certification afterwards.
